Pwdre Ser series
PDX Contemporary Art Window Project
Wood, foam and paint, 2007.

Pwdre ser comes from the Welsh word, 'star snot'. It's a gelatinous blobby byproduct that shoots down from the sky. Reasons are unclear. For this series, the pwdre ser blob-like sculptures have elements of meditation rocks, mossy maple polypores found on trees or dripping cloud-like shapes. In some of the work, the geometric wood components and bright colors guide and play with the foreground and background of the blob.
